About the Greektown Historic District
Greektown is one of the last surviving Victorian-era streetscapes of two and three story commercial buildings and churches, in downtown Detroit. The area evolved from use as a farm, German residential neighborhood, to a predominately Greek commercial district known for its shops and restaurants. Today, it is one of Detroit's most popular tourist attractions. "
