The WA3 works with member businesses and communities to enhance economic development and sustain Woodward’s business districts. We offer resources and workshops to keep our members informed and aware of current opportunities that may benefit them.
 
In recent years, billions of dollars have been invested in Woodward Avenue. Recognizing the significance of the America’s Byways™ designation, more and more developers, corporations and businesses are realizing Woodward’s potential as a business location.
 
Facts & Figures
  • $1.5 billion in private development and investment has occurred along Woodward since 2003 – in projects for commercial, residential and institutional uses.*
  • An estimated $58 million is under construction or in advanced planning for completion by 2007.*
  • 140,000 people live along the corridor, with an average household income that is higher than the state average.
  • More than $90 million in residential development is under construction or has recently been completed along Woodward.*
  • Woodward is home to Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions and world headquarters, including Compuware, General Motors and many emerging high-tech firms.
